Job summary

Remote is seeking a Payroll Vendor Relationship Manager to join our Global Payroll team. You will own collaboration with external payroll partners and drive end-to-end onboarding, contract negotiations, and alignment with Remote’s KPIs.

You’ll report to the Senior Manager, Global Payroll Vendor Operations, in a largely asynchronous, international environment. You’ll work across Tax, FP&A, Legal, Security, and Onboarding to deploy new payroll solutions and optimize vendor performance, with a

Qualifications

• Experience in regional/global payroll vendor operations.
• Experience implementing payroll software in multiple countries.
• Experience managing third-party payroll vendor relationships.
• Excellent contract negotiation skills.
• Deep understanding of global payroll best practices.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient with spreadsheets (e.g., Excel).
• Able to work largely asynchronously in a fast-paced, international environment.
• Remote experience is a plus.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Ability to create and manage internal training resources.
• Maintain frequent communication with Payroll team management.

Responsibilities

• Vendor scoping and research.
• Continuous market research for best-fit payroll vendors and developments across a global scope.
• Map out criteria in Disaster Recovery, Change Management, Audit & Reconciliation, Quality Control, Data Security, Data Accuracy, Compliance, Timely Processing and present options.
• Develop and deploy questionnaires, schedule demos, and create cost analyses.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
• End-to-end project management for new country onboarding, including vendor selection and contract negotiations.
• Mitigate legal risks and ensure stakeholder alignment in deployments.
• Oversee payroll vendor relations and performance evaluation.
• Ensure best practices for client satisfaction and KPI alignment.
• Identify, optimize and communicate with external partners.
• Collaborate with Tax, FP&A, Legal, Security, Operations and Onboarding teams.
• Develop training plans to ensure resource consumption.
