Job summary

BD is seeking a Manager of Payroll Operations to lead multi-state and multi-country payroll for the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico within a centralized service model. You will ensure accurate processing, compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction across North America.

You will collaborate with offshore teams, drive process improvements, and coach staff to deliver high-quality payroll solutions while aligning with BD’s policies and business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience running payroll (multi-entity and multi-country)
• Experience with payroll regulations, including taxes and benefits
• Vendor management with 3rd party payroll providers and SLAs
• Strong Excel and Word proficiency; effective communication across levels

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll across North America (US, Canada, Puerto Rico) and multi-state operations
• Partner with offshore team to resolve complex payroll issues
• Educate clients on policy changes and ensure alignment with company objectives
• Ensure timely, accurate payroll processing and compliance with tax filings
