Job summary

SDL Search Partners is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee both domestic and international payroll. The role sits under the CFO vertical, reporting to the Director of Finance & Operations, offering high-visibility leadership over the payroll function.

You will manage bi-weekly payroll cycles, ensure accuracy across multi-state and global payrolls, and work with leadership to optimize processes, benefits, and tax compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of payroll experience.
• CPP is a plus but not required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for domestic and international staff.
• Input international payroll data for W-2 reporting.
• Resolve payroll processing issues with urgency and accuracy.
• Document and maintain multi-state payroll policies.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations.
• Coordinate with HR on 401k and benefits administration.
• Assist in year-end W-2 preparation.
• Respond to tax notices from federal, state, local agencies.
• Prepare payroll journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
