SPS Commerce, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Manager, Global Payroll to lead the company’s payroll operations for 2,800+ employees across 40+ states and 10+ countries.

You’ll set strategic direction, ensure compliance, manage tax filings, and oversee external vendors while partnering with Finance, HR and Legal at a global scale. Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in payroll (including international), 4+ years of people leadership, and deep knowledge of payroll regs and SOX controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, HR, or related field.
• 8+ years of payroll experience, including multi-state and international payroll.
• 4+ years of people management experience, including senior individual contributors.
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, compliance, and SOX controls.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for global payroll processes, systems, and policies.
• Ensure statutory and SOX compliance, and manage tax filings and audits.
• Lead and develop the payroll team; plan staffing and succession.
• Oversee relationships with external payroll vendors and KPI governance.
• Guide complex payroll issues, including acquisitions and new jurisdictions.
• Document and improve payroll processes, drive automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, Legal to align payroll with company goals.
• Present updates to executive leadership and external auditors.
