Remote is hiring a Payroll Specialist Lead to manage end-to-end payroll processing for international operations, ensuring data integrity and compliance. The role emphasizes asynchronous collaboration, strong Excel/Google Suite skills, and deep knowledge of payroll practices.

You will mentor teammates, manage stakeholder relationships across payroll, finance, product, and engineering, and maintain KPI-driven operations in a fully remote, world-wide context.

Qualifications

• End-to-end payroll processing experience.
• Knowledge of payroll best practices.
• Proficient with Excel and Google Suite.
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to adapt to a fast-paced international environment.
• Productivity-minded with a drive to improve processes.
• Comfortable working largely asynchronously.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Remote work experience not required but a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert for the country.
• Manage relationships with Payroll Implementation, Finance, Product, Engineers.
• Process full end-to-end payroll in-house with statutory filings, exceptions, approvals and payments.
• Ensure data integrity and quality of payroll data.
• Handle payroll journals and reconciliations.
• Focus on KPIs and SLAs.
• Implement and improve payroll processes.
• Mentor and support payroll specialists.
• Back up regional managers during absences.
