Job summary

SPS Commerce is seeking a Sr. Manager, Payroll to lead the global payroll function serving 2,800+ employees across 40+ states and 10+ countries. You will set strategy, partner with vendors, and ensure accuracy, compliance, and scalability.

You will coach a payroll team, drive process improvements, and collaborate with Finance, HR, and Legal. Hybrid/minneapolis option, with remote flexibility.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of payroll experience across multiple states and international payroll.
• 4+ years of people management, including senior individual contributors.
• Deep knowledge of payroll regulations, compliance, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead global payroll strategy, processes, and policies.
• Ensure SOX compliance and maintain up-to-date payroll knowledge.
• Oversee payroll tax filings, reconciliations, and audits.
• Coach and develop the payroll team and plan staffing
• Drive automation and process improvements in payroll operations.
• Manage relationships with external payroll providers and KPIs.
