Job summary

AppLovin is seeking a driven Payroll Manager to own global payroll operations across the US and key international markets. This hands-on leadership role builds compliance frameworks from the ground up, partnering cross-functionally to ensure payroll runs like infrastructure: accurate, on time, and scalable.

You will oversee payroll tax and statutory compliance for US, SG, DE, IE, CY, and IT, manage vendor relationships, and support month-end close, audits, and equity-related payroll events.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive payroll experience in a multi-country environment.
• Experience with payroll tax filings and statutory reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
• Hands-on leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payroll processing across US multi-state and international entities (SG, DE, IE, CY, IT); ensure accuracy and on-time delivery.
• Manage relationships with external payroll vendors and in-country service providers; enforce SLAs and quality standards.
• Serve as primary point of contact for payroll matters across Finance, Accounting, HR, and Legal.
• Handle off-cycle payrolls, manual calculations, retroactive adjustments, and termination runs.
• Ensure timely filing of payroll tax returns and year-end forms; monitor regulatory changes and implement changes proactively.
• Support audits, tax authorities inquiries, and statutory inspections; assist with equity payroll events.
• Audit data, maintain internal controls, and drive process automation around payroll workflows.
• Collaborate with HR/PeopleOps on compensation decisions and new hires from a payroll perspective.
