Remote is seeking a Payroll Specialist Lead to join our Global Payroll Operations Team. You will own end-to-end payroll processing, ensure compliance, and collaborate with Finance, Product and Engineers to support international teams.

The role emphasizes asynchronous work, data integrity, and process improvements. Strong SAP and Excel/Google Sheets skills are essential, with fluency in English and comfort in a fast-paced global context.

• In-house payroll management or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of payroll best practices.
• Proficient in SAP; Excel/Google Sheets skills.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
• Able to adapt to fast-paced, international work environments.
• Productivity-focused with a drive to speed up work.
• Willingness to work largely asynchronously.
• Fluent English in speaking and writing.
• Remote work experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as a true subject matter expert for Australia.
• Manage relationships with Payroll Implementation, Finance, Product, and Engineers.
• Process full end-to-end payroll in-house, statutory filings, approvals, payments and compliance.
• Ensure data integrity and quality.
• Accounting/reconciliations; focus on KPIs and SLAs.
• Implement and improve payroll processes.
• Mentor and support payroll specialists.
• Back up regional managers during absences.
