Job summary

AppLovin is seeking a driven Payroll Manager to own global payroll operations across the US and international markets. This hands-on leadership role builds compliance frameworks, partners across Finance, Accounting and HR, and ensures payrolls are accurate, timely, and scalable.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of multi-country payroll experience, solid US tax knowledge, and is proficient with Workday HCM/Payroll and Excel. Remote work is supported, with exposure to APAC and European entities.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive payroll experience in a multi-country environment.
• Deep working knowledge of US payroll tax (federal, state, local) with multi-state benefit.
• Proficiency with Workday HCM/Payroll or equivalent global processor; strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
• Track record of managing payroll filings, year-end reconciliations, and statutory reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience processing equity-related payroll transactions (RSU, ESPP, NQ, ISO) in a public company environment.
• Exceptionally detail-oriented with strong reconciliation instincts and process rigor.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payroll operations across US and international entities; ensure accuracy and on-time delivery.
• Manage external payroll vendors and in-country service providers and SLAs.
• Serve as primary point of contact for payroll-related matters across Finance, HR, and Legal.
• Handle off-cycle payrolls, manual calculations, retroactive adjustments and terminations.
• Support month-end close, audits, and equity-related payroll events.
