Worldwide Flight Services is looking for a Payroll Director to lead our multi-entity, multi-state payroll operations in North America, ensuring accurate and compliant processing across diverse business units. The role reports to the VP of HR Administration and drives process improvements with internal partners and external vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or HR or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive payroll leadership experience across multiple entities.
• 5+ years managing large-scale, multi-state payroll environments.
• FPC and/or CPP certification strongly preferred.
• Experience overseeing payroll for 10,000+ employees in multi-state environments.
• Extensive knowledge of payroll administration, tax compliance, reporting.
• Experience in a unionized environment and working with CBAs.

Responsibilities

• Direct end-to-end payroll processing for multiple companies and entities.
• Lead payroll team, drive process improvements and system implementations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Tax and vendors to support goals.
• Establish KPIs and service-level metrics for payroll operations.
• Oversee multi-state payroll tax filings, unemployment, and year-end W‑2s.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and integrate with general ledger.
• Monitor regulatory changes and implement updates as needed.
• Evaluate performance of direct reports and manage talent.
• Support and advise on wage, garnishments, and deductions.
