Job summary

Corpay is seeking a Sr. Director, Global Payroll to lead payroll strategy and governance across the United States, Canada, Mexico, the UK, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.

Based in Atlanta, GA, you will drive end-to-end payroll delivery, compliance, and data-driven improvements with senior leadership collaboration. You will manage regional teams, establish global standards, and partner with Legal, Tax, and Finance to optimize payroll operations while ensuring accuracy and on-time payments for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant payroll experience
• Global payroll experience strongly preferred, including multi-region leadership
• Significant experience leading payroll teams within a complex organization
• Demonstrated experience managing payroll operations across multiple countries, regions, or business units
• Strong knowledge of payroll operations, controls, governance, and regulatory requirements
• Experience leading and developing geographically dispersed teams
• Experience standardizing processes while recognizing country-specific payroll requirements
• Experience managing change, transformation, or payroll operating-model improvements
• Experience partnering with HR, Finance, Benefits, and other cross-functional stakeholders
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees, operational teams, and senior leadership
• Ability to operate strategically while staying close to payroll operations to resolve issues
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple regions and time zones

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a multi-year global payroll strategy aligned with growth and objectives
• Lead, develop, and retain regional payroll teams with clear accountabilities and development paths
• Create a consistent global operating model while honoring local practices for compliance
• Chair payroll governance forums and report on performance, controls, risk, and progress
• Serve as escalation point for critical payroll incidents and remediation plans
• Own end-to-end payroll delivery including regular, off-cycle, bonuses, equity, and termination payments
• Ensure accurate gross-to-net calculations, remittances, reconciliations, and year-end processing
• Establish calendars, cutoffs, approvals, data-quality checks, and SLAs
• Improve employee experience via clear communications, case management, and self-service
• Maintain business continuity and disaster-recovery plans for payroll processes
• Build relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional transformation teams
• Lead payroll technology and integration roadmap across HRIS, finance, and payroll systems
• Oversee vendor and contract governance, budgeting, and cost-reduction opportunities
• Collaborate with Legal, Tax, Finance on regulatory changes and documentation
• Monitor data governance and analytics to identify improvements and risk
