Job summary

Ocean Optics in San Mateo, CA is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to support orders from inquiry through delivery. You will book customer orders, communicate with customers and internal teams, and coordinate scheduling with sales, operations, and finance to ensure a smooth experience.

You will handle repairs and calibrations as needed, maintain accurate records in our systems, and build strong relationships with customers across a global team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience managing customer orders and interactions.
• Proficient with Salesforce, Office 365, and D365.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Book customer orders from entry through delivery.
• Act as a key customer contact and ensure timely, professional communication.
• Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Finance, Production, Shipping, and global CS teams to support customer needs.
• Support service-related requests, including repairs and calibrations, and follow-up communication.
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Work with the team to improve processes and deliver a better customer experience.
• Maintain accurate customer and order information in systems.
