Job summary

Ocean Optics, based in San Mateo, CA, is seeking a Customer Service Specialist temp-to-hire to join its global Customer Service team. You will be the first and last point of contact for customers, coordinating orders from inquiry through delivery.

Key duties include booking orders, liaising with Sales, Operations, Finance, Production, and Shipping, supporting repairs and calibrations, and driving process improvements to enhance the customer experience. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience managing customer orders, order processing, and customer interactions.
• Experience with Salesforce, Office 365, and D365.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Book customer orders accurately and support the full order process from entry through delivery.
• Act as a key customer contact and ensure timely, professional communication.
• Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Finance, Production, Shipping, and the global Customer Service team to support customer needs.
• Support service-related customer requests, including repairs and calibrations and follow-up communication.
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Work with the team to improve processes and deliver a better customer experience.
• Maintain accurate customer and order information in the relevant systems.
