Qualifications

• MD required; advanced clinical training in hepatology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, internal medicine, metabolic disease, or related field is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry with global Medical Affairs leadership.
• Proven ability to develop integrated medical and evidence strategies across the product lifecycle.
• Experience representing Medical Affairs on senior cross-functional asset teams with enterprise influence.
• Deep scientific understanding of MASH, NAFLD/NASH, or liver fibrosis is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the integrated MASH medical strategy and portfolio leadership.
• Own the global MASH medical plan and strategy across resmetirom and future assets.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs to align evidence generation, stakeholder engagement, and lifecycle planning.
• Represent Madrigal externally at major scientific congresses and advisory boards.
• Champion AI-enabled, data-driven decision making and cross-functional collaboration.
