Job summary

Leica Microsystems, a Danaher operating company, seeks a visionary Senior Director, Global Marketing to lead our global marketing initiatives and turn Marketing into a differentiated, sustainable competitive advantage. You will drive customer engagement and above-market revenue growth across regions through innovative strategies and disciplined execution.

You will report to the Senior Vice President Commercial Operations and manage a global Marketing organization, including at least 25 globally

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA/advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years of senior marketing/commercial leadership in Life Sciences, with demonstrated delivery of global go-to-market strategies and growth results.
• Strong expertise in demand generation, campaign management, segmentation, and pipeline analytics; hands-on with KPI design and performance management.
• Deep knowledge of digital marketing and marketing technology (including punchout systems, SEO/SEM, paid media, web, email/automation, content), with a test-and-learn approach.
• Proven ability to lead and scale global teams (minimum of 25 globally located) in matrixed environments; experience driving organizational transformation and continuous improvement.
• Strong financial acumen: planning, forecasting, budgeting, and ROI-based resource allocation.

Responsibilities

• Build and execute the global marketing strategy and annual operating plan aligned to company strategy, with clear priorities, KPIs, and governance.
• Drive market and customer insight (segmentation, VOC, competitive intelligence) to identify growth opportunities and guide portfolio choices.
• Lead global demand generation and campaign engine (incl. regional localization) to deliver pipeline targets and improve lead-to-opportunity conversion.
• Oversee digital marketing performance across channels (SEO/SEM, marketing automation, email, paid media, web).
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing global marketing organization; deploy Danaher Business System tools to drive continuous improvement and measurable outcomes.
• Manage the global marketing budget & operations
