Job summary

DSV in the USA (Plainfield) is seeking a Business Development Manager to sell our transportation and logistics services to new clients. You will collaborate with the sales team and operations to meet customer requirements and hit revenue targets.

The ideal candidate has strong sales skills and in-depth knowledge of the transport and logistics industry, with a bachelor's degree and at least five years' experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the transportation and logistics industry.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with CRM software, preferably Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
• Identify and target potential customers, including cold-calling and prospecting.
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients, including regular follow-up and meetings.
• Collaborate with the operations team to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with customers.
• Manage the sales pipeline and update CRM with current information.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and provide feedback to management.
