Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Romulus, MI invites an experienced logistics professional to oversee transportation and customs processes, providing customer service for shipment intake and documentation of imported/exported products in compliance with regulations. You will supervise staff, monitor performance, ensure accurate shipping documents, and coordinate with operations to resolve delays.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum four years related experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times.
• Supervise department staff and assist in retention and training efforts; conduct meetings to review performance and improvements.
• Review shipment documentation for accuracy; ensure compliance with federal and foreign regulations.
• Compute duties, tariffs, and weight/volume; communicate with customs officials to obtain release of freight.
• Establish and revise policies for customs clearance; ensure consistent implementation.
• Identify areas of concern in import/export processes through monitoring team performance and client reviews.
• Maintain flexible work schedule including after-hours on-call rotation.
• Participate in department projects related to responsibility area.
