Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Ridgefield, NJ is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee transportation and customs processes, ensuring accurate shipment documentation and customer service excellence. You will supervise staff, monitor performance, and drive adherence to federal and foreign regulations.

Responsibilities include reviewing invoices and bills of lading, communicating with customs, and guiding process improvements while maintaining flexible hours and on-call rotation as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum four years related experience; minimum one year supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in International Business, Logistics or related field preferred or equivalent combination of work experience and education.
• Three years of industry experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of ITAR, Import Brokerage, Export Compliance, Hazmat Regulations and recordkeeping.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times.
• Supervise department activities; assist in staff and customer training; conduct meetings and address performance issues per policies.
• Review shipment documentation for accuracy; ensure compliance with regulations governing imports/exports.
• Compute duties, tariffs, weight and volume; communicate with customs to obtain release and resolve delays.
• Establish and revise policies for customs clearance operations; ensure consistent administration of procedures.
• Identify areas of concern in import/export processes via audits and client reviews.
• Communicate with operations manager about progress; maintain flexible work hours including on-call rotation.
• Participate in or supervise department projects within responsibility area.
