Job summary

ICAT Logistics in Washington state is seeking an Operations Agent who will manage client-facing shipment processing, rate quotes, vendor decisions, and invoicing while ensuring accurate data and compliant operations. You will coordinate domestic and international shipments and work to optimize margins.

The role requires hands-on routing, negotiation with carriers, and strong collaboration with customers and vendors to deliver excellent service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of transportation or freight forwarding experience.
• Experience creating and routing LTL, TL, and expedited ground services.
• Knowledge of NMFC and density ratings.
• Proven ability to negotiate rates with carriers and vendors.
• Experience with government freight programs (USTRANSCOM a plus).
• Understanding international regulations and compliance in air/ocean freight.
• Strong client relationships and credibility with customers and vendors.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize, schedule, and route shipments across the U.S.
• Book space with carriers and negotiate rates.
• Oversee shipment lifecycle and data accuracy.
• Prepare quotations for ICAT clients.
• Track and trace freight and verify piece counts.
• Prepare shipping documentation and invoicing per ICAT policy.
• Maintain updated records in the TMS.
