Job summary

ICAT Logistics is seeking an Export Operations Agent (Air & Ocean) to manage client shipments, quote rates, and coordinate domestic and international shipments. The role emphasizes a client-centric approach, vendor negotiation, and detailed tracking using the TMS.

The candidate should have 2+ years in air/ocean export and strong knowledge of carrier options, with the ability to develop SOPs and contribute to cost-saving improvements. The position is office-based in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of transportation and/or freight forwarding experience in air/ocean export.
• Knowledge of spot quotes, LTL, TL, and expedited ground services.
• Knowledge of the NMFC and density rating.
• Hands-on ability with rating and routing freight.
• Understanding of major carriers serving US/Canada/Mexico.
• Proven track record building relationships with customers and vendors.
• Experience negotiating rates with trucking companies, carriers, and overseas partners.
• Knowledge of international and domestic geography.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize, schedule, and route shipments for transportation throughout the U.S.
• Coordinate and track shipments, prepare quotations, and manage documentation
• Book space with carriers and negotiate rates
• Maintain accurate information in the TMS and enter vendor costs
• Ensure compliance with industry and ICAT requirements
• Collaborate with management to meet short- and long-term goals
