Job summary

JAS Worldwide in Nashville is seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to grow gross profit and market share while building lasting relationships with new and existing customers. You will travel within the region to meet clients, present proposals, and close deals, leveraging industry knowledge of air/ocean freight, customs brokerage, and value-added services to drive strategic growth.

Bachelor’s degree preferred; 5+ years in BD in international logistics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of business development experience in international freight forwarding and logistics.
• Experience with CRM and CMS tools preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of freight forwarding industry (air/ocean/imports/exports/customs brokerage).
• Deep knowledge of local market, customers, and competitive landscape.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Able to travel frequently within the region.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Detail-oriented and able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Develop sales strategies to increase customer base (Silver/Gold/Platinum).
• Maintain knowledge of products and services.
• Travel throughout territory to meet regular and prospective customers.
• Develop and maintain strong business relationships.
• Provide pricing, terms, and sales contracts for orders obtained.
• Prepare activity reports and sales plans for the territory.
• Participate in aggressive sales training and adhere to Sales Policy.
• Other duties as assigned.
