JAS Forwarding (USA), Inc. is seeking a seasoned Business Development professional to grow our international freight forwarding footprint in the MEMPHIS area.

You will develop and implement sales strategies, build strong client relationships, and manage complex sales cycles across air, ocean, and customs brokerage services. Travel within the region is required as you identify opportunities, present pricing, negotiate terms, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to win new business while

Qualifications

• 5+ years of business development experience, ideally within international freight forwarding and logistics services.
• Experience with CRM and CMS tools preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of freight forwarding industry to include - air/ocean/imports/exports/customs brokerage operations.
• Must have a deep knowledge of the local market, customers, and competitive landscape.
• Strong leadership presence and ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop sales strategies to increase customer base and market share.
• Travel within assigned region to meet regular and prospective customers.
• Provide pricing, credit terms, and prepare contracts for orders obtained.
• Maintain knowledge of products and services offered by the company.
• Provide activity reports and sales plans for the territory.
• Participate in aggressive sales and skills training.
