Job summary

Remitly is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager, Localization, to lead global language and market expansion. You will own the strategy, validation workflows, and cross-functional planning with engineering, product, and international teams.

This hybrid Seattle role requires 6+ years in localization, hands-on AI/LLM usage, and 3+ years launching new languages and countries. You will manage external vendors, define metrics, and scale programs to support growth.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in localization management with hands-on ownership of tooling and systems.
• Direct experience applying AI or LLMs to build or scale translation workflows.
• 3+ years launching new products, languages, and countries in a client-side localization role.
• Experience managing external vendor partners at scale, including budget and performance ownership.

Responsibilities

• Own the language and market expansion strategy across new countries and languages.
• Set the validation quality bar for launches and ensure multilingual readiness from the start.
• Run user testing and native-speaker validation across markets.
• Design AI-assisted evaluation, generation, and review workflows to expand quality coverage.
• Partner with internationalization engineering to align priorities with i18n standards.
• Manage vendor partnerships and budgets, including performance management and escalations.
• Define and track metrics that tie localization work to business outcomes and report to leadership.
