Job summary

Remitly, Inc. is seeking a Senior Localization leader to bring AI into scaling localization as it expands into new countries and languages. You will own global launch readiness, drive vendor strategy, and partner with internationalization engineering to mature the tech behind growth.

This is a hybrid role based at our Seattle, WA headquarters, requiring 3+ days on-site. You will define metrics, manage vendors and budgets, and collaborate across product, engineering, and marketing to ensure

Qualifications

• 6+ years in localization management with hands-on tooling ownership.
• Direct experience applying AI or LLMs to build or scale translation and quality workflows.
• 3+ years launching new products, languages, and countries in client-side localization.
• Knowledge of internationalization standards and localizability issue resolution.
• Experience managing external vendor partners at scale with budgets and performance.
• Experience turning testing findings into decisions with product and engineering partners.
• Experience building data-driven frameworks and processes that scale a program.

Responsibilities

• Own the language and market expansion strategy and roadmap.
• Set strategy and quality bar for launches across countries, languages, products.
• Run user testing and native-speaker validation.
• Translate insights into launch decisions for multilingual readiness.
• Design AI-assisted evaluation and review workflows.
• Partner with i18n engineering to align priorities.
• Manage vendor partnerships and budgets, including performance management.
• Define and track metrics tied to business outcomes and report to leadership.
• Represent localization in cross-functional planning for growth.
