Job summary

Workday is seeking a Manager of Learning Experience Design to lead a global team that crafts end‑to‑end learning experiences for Workday’s revenue‑generating teams. You will coach and grow the team, establishing standards for high‑quality instructional design.

You will oversee the full lifecycle of complex projects from scoping to delivery, defining governance and ensuring a consistent learner experience across multiple asset types.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in instructional design or learning experience design in a corporate environment.
• 3+ years in a leadership or management role, leading learning experience designers, content creators, or curriculum managers.
• Deep knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
• Proficient with the LXD technology landscape, including authoring tools and LMS platforms, with coaching experience.
• 5+ years of experience in the technology industry, ideally in B2B enterprise SaaS.
• Excellent communication skills, across different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of Learning Experience Design professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence in instructional design
• Guide the design and development of learning assets — including interactive e-learning modules, vILT/ILT, videos, job aids, simulations, and assessments
• Oversee scoping, management, and delivery of complex instructional design projects from start to finish, coaching the team to manage timelines, collaborators, and resources
• Review and validate the quality of learning content created by cross‑functional teams, ensuring courses meet standards and governance
• Scope and define Workday’s learning governance model for Revenue, CX, and Partner learning materials
• Monitor and analyze KPIs to measure learning effectiveness and drive data‑driven improvements
• Stay current with advances in learning science, AI‑powered development, and enablement best practices
