Job summary

Shell is seeking an experienced Global Account Manager to join our team in San Diego, California. The GAM will be the West Coast focal point for strategic, multinational accounts and coordinate with deals teams globally to unlock opportunities while aligning customer strategy across Shell’s diverse portfolio.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in key account management within the energy sector, strong stakeholder management, and deep knowledge of US energy markets.

Qualifications

• Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis
• Bachelor’s degree
• At least 10 years of professional experience, including 5 years of key account management
• Deep understanding of US energy markets, with broader oil & gas downstream exposure
• Strong track record of managing complex stakeholders and senior external relationships
• Evidence of account strategy creation, execution, and value delivery across regions
• Willingness to travel 10–20% based on business needs

Responsibilities

• Partner with local Shell Energy Origination and B2B teams in San Diego as the main link to regional growth for Global Key Accounts
• Manage global accounts and serve as West coast focal point for opportunities across other global key accounts
• Develop and nurture client relationships and coordinate with deals teams on global opportunities
• Ensure a single aligned customer strategy for multi‑national accounts across Shell’s footprint
• Collaborate with Shell businesses across geographies to enable a cohesive account strategy leveraging Shell’s portfolio
