Job summary

Meta's Site Operations team is hiring a Global Infrastructure Engineer to lead and architect scalable data center solutions across multiple regions. You will assemble cross-functional teams to tackle high-impact challenges, balancing physical and logical layers while advancing next-gen platforms.

You will collaborate with Data Centers, Core Systems, hardware engineering and vendors, traveling 20-30% to coordinate global initiatives and ensure resilient, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• Knowledge of full infra stack on distributed physical infrastructure.
• Proven communication skills in a highly distributed environment.
• 10+ years in large-scale data center or IT infrastructure.
• Experience building globally scalable solutions.
• Knowledge of data center interdependencies (electrical, cooling, cabling, security, network, storage).
• Experience with Linux/Unix systems.
• Ability to translate analysis to cross-functional strategy.
• Experience with data center design and expansion.

Responsibilities

• Represent Site Operations in defining and architecting global solutions.
• Assemble and lead teams to address complex engineering challenges.
• Address ambiguous, global issues across time zones and domains.
• Mentor as SME in tools, technologies, and processes used in Site Operations.
• Assess risks with new hardware, data center, and software technologies.
• Balance physical and logical layers across the infrastructure stack.
• Serve as global advisor for project design and delivery affecting data centers and server fleets.
• Use data-driven methods to plan and measure progress.
• Provide data-backed narratives and drive continuous improvement.
• Build cross-functional connections and advocate for Site Operations with stakeholders.
