Job summary

Meta seeks a Data Center Capacity Engineer to plan, analyze, and optimize capacity across its global data center fleet. You will translate demand forecasts into deployment strategies, ensuring reliable support for billions of users while collaborating with infrastructure, network, and operations teams.

You will lead capacity projects, build cross-functional relationships, and drive data-driven improvements to maximize efficiency, resiliency, and scalability in large-scale environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in capacity planning, demand and supply management, production planning, or operations planning.
• BS, BA, or BEng in a relevant field, or equivalent experience or certification.
• Experience in process ownership and development, and in systems development.
• Knowledge of enterprise-level networking, server, and storage installs.
• Understanding of data center infrastructure systems and applications across related industries.
• Ability to communicate effectively and tailor messages to the audience.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own capacity workflows (receiving, moves, decommissions) and drive cross-functional collaboration to meet demands.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement strategies improving data center operations.
• Translate capacity demands into local site plans for rapid capacity delivery.
• Lead cross-functional data center teams on capacity projects considering production resiliency, power, cooling, network, and servers.
• Build relationships and influence policies to improve regional/global data center operations.
• Share best practices and establish standard practices for innovation, collaboration and safety.
• Drive alignment of capacity, engineering, and operational initiatives across partners.
• Perform data analytics, identify inefficiencies, and drive resolution to maintain uptime.
• Create or improve standards and roadmaps for automation in deployment and decommissioning of server hardware.
• Work with Meta hardware/software teams to resolve complex issues affecting computing infrastructure.
• Share knowledge and guide capacity team members globally.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cooling, power, and networking as it relates to capacity.
