Job summary

Meta designs, builds, and operates data center infrastructure to serve billions of users. Meta seeks an experienced Data Center Development Manager to join the Global Site Development organization and lead site entitlements, diligence, and development across multiple projects.

You will work with site selection, infrastructure planning, and construction partners to balance speed-to-market with capital efficiency and deliver scalable data center solutions worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Planning, Engineering, Science or Environmental management.
• 5+ years of site development experience, or equivalent experience managing large scale, complex infrastructure projects.
• Experience in managing multiple projects and coordinating with internal staff and external consultants, vendors and other stakeholders.
• Experience with a range of project management tools and software, (eg. Google Suite, Excel, project management software, PowerPoint, etc)

Responsibilities

• Drive the entitlements process (e.g., zoning, land use permitting) to meet project timelines.
• Lead diligence and development to vet prospective sites and assess risks and opportunities across permits, taxes, energy, water, network connectivity and hazards.
• Organize communications and scalable processes to track on-time delivery with stakeholders across design, construction, legal, finance, and policy.
• Collaborate with Site Selection Manager and stakeholders to align efforts and overcome development obstacles.
• Support preparation of project recommendations for management approval.
• Contribute to Meta's near- and long-term data center location and leased portfolio strategy.
• Support existing sites under construction or in operations to ensure on-time, quality delivery.
• Track and monitor ongoing site development including agreement management.
• Develop scalable tools and processes to improve delivery and communication.
• Role requires 25-50% travel.
