Job summary

Meta designs, builds, and operates data center infrastructure to serve billions of users across apps and services. We seek a Data Center Development Manager to drive site entitlements, diligence, and scalable processes in a global context.

You will coordinate with site selection, financing, legal, tax, and operations teams to optimize timelines and capital efficiency, while balancing risk and performance. This role includes up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Planning, Engineering, Science or Environmental management.
• 5+ years of site development experience, or equivalent experience managing large scale, complex infrastructure projects
• Experience in managing multiple projects and coordinating with internal staff and external consultants, vendors and other stakeholders
• Experience with a range of project management tools and software (e.g., Google Suite, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Drive the entitlements process (e.g., zoning, land use permitting) to meet project timelines.
• Lead diligence and development to vet sites and assess risks and opportunities across permitting, taxes, energy, water, connectivity, and risks.
• Organize communications and tracking to ensure on-time delivery with stakeholders across design, legal, tax, finance, and more.
• Align internal stakeholders and overcome obstacles in the site development process.
• Prepare project recommendations for management approvals.
• Support Meta's near and long-term data center location and leased portfolio strategy.
• Support portfolio of sites under construction or in operations for on-time delivery and permit compliance.
• Track ongoing site development including agreement management.
• Develop scalable tools and processes to improve delivery and communication.
• Role requires 25-50% travel.
