Job summary

Orange Recruitment is seeking a Logistics Coordinator based in Barnwood to own the end-to-end inbound supply chain for the UK and USA, ensuring on-time and in-full deliveries at the planned landed cost, coordinating with the Merchandising Team, suppliers, logistics partners and the Warehouse.

The role emphasises managing freight, customs duties, Incoterms, KPIs for on-time delivery, and cross-functional collaboration with UK and USA teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced retail, import or freight environments.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide annual container plans for both territories and communicate to the businesses.
• Obtain, compare and confirm sea and air freight quotes and book shipments within forecasted costs.
• Track sailing schedules and update ETAs to Merchandising and Warehousing teams in both territories.
• Own classification and upkeep of commodity and tariff codes for UK and USA.
• Prepare and check import documentation: invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin.
• Manage customs entries and declarations for UK (HMRC/CDS) and USA (CBP/ISF).
• Chase suppliers on ex-factory readiness and ship dates.
• Tender and review freight rates and monitor partner performance, and own inbound freight budget.
