Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Import Specialist to manage ocean and air imports with a strong focus on CargoWise workflows. You will coordinate end-to-end shipments from origin to destination, prepare import documents, and ensure CBP/FMC compliance while maintaining accurate records.

The ideal candidate has experience in international freight forwarding and excellent organizational and communication skills, with proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. This role is based in Newark, NJ.

Qualifications

• Experience in ocean or air import operations or international freight forwarding preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Ensure on-time shipment delivery per customer request.
• Coordinate full-cycle of ocean and air import shipments from origin to destination.
• Prepare and review import documentation for customs clearance.
• Ensure compliance with CBP, FMC, and other regulations.
• Communicate with carriers, customs brokers, overseas agents, and internal teams.
• Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely processing.
• Coordinate final-mile delivery with trucking companies.
• Maintain accurate records and data entry in the internal system.
