Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Import Specialist to coordinate ocean and air import shipments from origin to final destination, ensuring on-time delivery and accurate documentation. You will manage documentation for customs clearance and communicate with carriers and brokers to resolve issues.

You will ensure CBP and regulatory compliance, track shipments, and maintain meticulous records in the internal system to support timely processing and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in ocean or air import operations or international freight forwarding preferred
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Shipment delivery on time per customer's request
• Coordinate full-cycle of ocean and air import shipments from origin country to final destinations
• Prepare and review import documentation for Import customs clearance
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), FMC, and other regulatory requirements
• Communicate effectively with carriers, customs brokers, overseas agents, and internal departments
• Track, trace, and monitor progress of shipments and deliveries to ensure timely processing
• Issue delivery orders and coordinate final-mile delivery with trucking companies
• Maintain accurate records and data entry in the internal system
