Job summary

FreightTAS in Newark, NJ is seeking an Ocean/Air Import Coordinator to manage end-to-end international import freight operations. The role focuses on ocean import (85%) and some air import (15%), coordinating bookings, documentation, and delivery.

You will work with overseas agents, carriers, and vendors to ensure on-time execution, compliance, and issue resolution. A background in freight forwarding and CargoWise is required, with sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience with a freight forwarding company handling ocean import and some air import operations from start to finish.
• Hands-on experience using CargoWise.

Responsibilities

• Manage all stages of international import operations from booking through final delivery, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and on-time execution.
• Handle ocean import and some air import operations, including documentation preparation, coordination with overseas agents, and shipment execution.
• Prepare and manage rate quotes for customers and international partners.
• Coordinate and oversee consolidated cargo shipments.
• Communicate regularly with overseas agents, carriers, trucking companies, and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, shipping laws, and internal procedures.
• Proactively resolve shipment issues to minimize delays or service disruptions.
• Support customer relationships through clear communication, responsiveness, and issue resolution.
