Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Ocean Import Specialist to manage the full-cycle of ocean import shipments, coordinating documentation, carriers, and customs clearance to meet customer requirements.

The role emphasizes strong organizational and communication skills, with proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. CargoWise experience is a bonus, and the team highlights collaboration and a customer-first culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in ocean or air import operations or international freight forwarding preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Shipment Delivery on time per customer's request.
• Coordinate full-cycle of ocean import shipments from origin country to final destinations
• Prepare and review import documentation for Import customs clearance
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), FMC, and other regulatory requirements
• Communicate effectively with carriers, customs brokers, overseas agents, and internal departments
• Track, trace, and monitor progress of shipments and deliveries to ensure timely processing
• Issue delivery orders and coordinate final-mile delivery with trucking companies
• Maintain accurate records and data entry in the internal system
