JAS USA is seeking an Import Specialist to manage air and ocean import shipments, ensuring compliance with CHB requirements and regulations. You will process documents, prepare customs entries, and maintain client communications throughout the shipping lifecycle.

The role requires 3+ years in imports, strong organization, and knowledge of US customs procedures. You will support pricing, invoicing, and onboarding of new clients in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 3+ years in imports or related education.
• Experience handling air/ocean import shipments and CHB processes preferred.
• Knowledge of US customs laws, regulations, and entry procedures is preferred.
• Familiarity with ISF and FDA considerations is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Prepare, review and process import documents and invoices.
• Process customs entries and release details.
• Track shipments, update clients on status, dispatch deliveries and collect PODs.
• Bill and reconcile payables; ensure timely payments per terms.
• Assist sales and colleagues with quotes and cost forecasting.
• Provide responsive customer service and maintain communication with truckers.
