Job summary

JAS Forwarding (USA), Inc. is seeking an Import Specialist to process air and ocean import shipments and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company procedures while delivering high-quality service.

You will prepare documents, track bookings, communicate shipment status, bill customers, assist with quotes and job costing, and support sales and operations; experience with CargoWise (C1) and ISF is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience handling imports (air and/or ocean).
• Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with US customs rules, duties and ISF preferred.
• Experience using CargoWise (C1) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process and handle air and ocean import shipments.
• Prepare, review and process import documents.
• Track bookings, shipment status, and delivery; provide POD and cost/invoice details.
• Bill and invoice files; manage payables and receivables per guidelines.
• Assist sales and operations with quotes and job costing; provide responsive customer service.
