Job summary

JAS Forwarding (USA), Inc. is seeking an Import Supervisor to oversee daily import operations for air and ocean shipments, supporting the Import Manager and aligning with KPIs. This role acts as liaison between the operations team and leadership to sustain efficiency and high service levels.

You will coordinate workflows, ensure documentation accuracy, assist with rate quoting, liaise with vendors and customers, and drive process improvements while mentoring team members.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in air/ocean import operations in freight forwarding.
• 1–2 years of supervisory/lead experience preferred.
• Familiarity with freight forwarding systems and FDA/OGA processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor daily workflow of Ocean and Air Import teams.
• Ensure timely, accurate processing of documentation and system updates.
• Support rate quoting and shipment coordination with overseas offices/agents.
• Assist with vendor coordination and follow-up on service issues.
• Maintain open communication with customers and resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with customer SOPs and procedures.
• Provide guidance and onboarding support to staff; monitor performance.
