Expeditors in Salt Lake City is seeking an Import Transportation Agent to support smooth freight flow, accurate data handling, and timely communication with customers and brokers. The role emphasizes adherence to OPS and regulatory standards while enabling growth within a global logistics team.

Ideal candidates have 0–12 months of related experience, strong English, and good MS Office skills. The position offers full time hours, Monday through Friday, with comprehensive benefits and training

Qualifications

• 0–12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Effective interpersonal skills, including listening and clear communication
• Pro-active, strong organizational skills
• Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Fluent in English – reading and writing
• Understanding of air documentation process a plus

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow
• Ensure accurate data entry into operating system
• Track and trace Air and Ocean Import files as required
• Ensure timely delivery of freight to customers for Import shipments
• Ensure documents are timely sent to customer or broker for customs purposes
• Ensure accurate client and Service Providers billing
• Interact with customers to arrange international shipments and meet service standards
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers (airlines, trucking companies)
• Meet regulatory and internal OPS standards and customer requirements
• Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency
