Job summary

Expeditors is seeking an Ocean Import Lead Agent to ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information while delivering exceptional customer service within the Import Department.

The role reports to the Ocean Import Lead Agent, Supervisor, and Manager, with responsibilities spanning operations, billing, and continuous process improvement. A Bachelor's degree is preferred and at least 6 months of Ocean Import experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 6 months experience in Ocean Import.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service within the Import Department.
• Manage billing processes and adhere to procedures and productivity standards.
• Escalate issues to management when necessary and maintain timely responses to internal/external requests.
• Collaborate with Ocean Import Lead Agent, Supervisor and Manager to optimize processes and outcomes.

Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service within the Import Department.
