OCEANAIR, Inc. seeks an Import Agent to coordinate international import shipments from origin through final delivery. The role involves working with customers, overseas partners, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely movement, accurate documentation, and prompt resolution of customer concerns.

Schedule is 100% in-office in Peabody, MA; weekend/holiday rotation may be required. This full-time, on-site position requires attention to detail and multitasking abilities and offers hourly

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
• Basic knowledge of import operations and customs documentation.
• CargoWise or similar logistics software experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate international import shipments across air, ocean, and other transportation modes.
• Communicate with customers, overseas agents, carriers, and vendors regarding shipment status and requirements.
• Review and maintain accurate import, customs, and shipment documentation.
• Obtain charges, cargo releases, and other shipment information.
• Monitor shipments, deadlines, payments, and potential issues.
• Resolve delays, damages, discrepancies, and customer concerns.
• Maintain accurate shipment files and documentation in the transportation management system.
• Provide professional customer service by phone and email.
