Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking a Hub Operations Agent II at our Midwest hub in Itasca, IL. You will be the primary contact for customer service, freight inquiries, and routing questions, ensuring DOT compliance and accurate paperwork.

Responsibilities include processing inbound/outbound documents, communicating shipment status to customers, and coordinating with the Hub Operations Supervisor on linehaul loading and reporting discrepancies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 2+ years in transportation and logistics office environment required.
• 3+ years general office experience required.
• 3+ years transportation and logistics experience in an LTL/HUB environment preferred.
• Forklift certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Understand service levels and provide routing suggestions accordingly.
• Process inbound and outbound documents with accuracy and report discrepancies.
• Update supervisors with information from network boards and monitoring systems.
• Proactively communicate shipment status to customers (internal and external).
• Prepare loadouts for linehaul schedules with proper paperwork.
• Coordinate with network linehaul teams on additional loads and routing requirements.
• Accurately update departure times and information in the system (AS400).
• Answer phones and perform filing and general office duties as required.
• Operate a forklift to move materials within the warehouse location.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with policies.
