Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Executive Director, Site Reliability Engineering to lead reliability, resilience and performance across the retail and pharmacy technology ecosystem. You will oversee large global teams, define multi‑year roadmaps, and champion observability, automation and operational excellence across thousands of store locations.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience across infrastructure, operations, software engineering, or related disciplines.
• Significant experience leading Site Reliability Engineering, production operations, platform engineering, or large-scale reliability programs.
• Proven success managing complex, distributed technology environments, preferably in multi-site operations.
• Deep expertise in incident management, observability, automation and reliability methodologies.
• Strong understanding of retail technology ecosystems and store/server networks.
• Ability to lead enterprise-wide transformation and influence executives.
• Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute an enterprise-wide SRE strategy for CVS Health's retail and pharmacy operations.
• Lead large global engineering teams and align reliability with business priorities.
• Develop multi-year roadmap for observability, automation, and platform resiliency.
• Establish SLOs/SLAs and governance for mission-critical store applications.
• Drive incident management excellence and post-incident remediation.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Champion modernization of cloud, edge, and distributed architectures.
