Job summary

Northwood Space seeks a Fleet Operations & Reliability Engineer to own uptime and performance of a growing global network of ground stations. You will interpret telemetry, drive incident response, and lead field campaigns to deploy and upgrade hardware at remote sites.

You will build scalable monitoring and response systems as you gain deep knowledge of RF, power, networking, or mechanical subsystems, while coordinating with contractors and internal teams for reliability and lifecycle

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related engineering field.
• Experience building, testing, operating, or diagnosing complex mechanical/electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Own fleet uptime and performance across a global network of antenna sites; analyze uptime data and trends.
• Operate and grow the Network Operations Center; monitor site health, telemetry, and perform rapid response.
• Lead hardware deployment campaigns at remote sites; act as on-site conductor and POC for deployments.
• Drive root cause analysis and implement fixes to reduce recurrence; develop expertise in subsystems (RF, power, networking, or mechanical).
• Scale contractor ecosystem; source, contract, and onboard partners; define maintenance strategies.
