Job summary

Northwood Space is seeking a Fleet Reliability Intern to design, build and deploy hardware for our global network of sites. You’ll work directly with real hardware and collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep missions on schedule.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s or graduate program in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Available to relocate to Los Angeles, CA for 12 weeks during Summer 2026.
• Able to work in a professional team environment with engineers, management and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Own ground station hardware project from inception to deployment.
• Build ground support equipment (GSE), wire harnesses, and test setups.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in ongoing site operations with urgency.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software and manufacturing engineers to finish projects.
• Learn and gain exposure to real world space mission problems.
