Job summary

Northwood Space is seeking a Fleet Operations & Reliability Engineer to serve as the first line of defense for uptime and performance across a global hardware network. You will interpret telemetry, drive incident response, and lead field campaigns deploying, diagnosing, and upgrading hardware at remote sites.

You will build scalable monitoring and response systems, collaborate with product and manufacturing, and travel to domestic and international ground stations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related engineering discipline.
• Experience building, testing, operating, or diagnosing complex electrical or mechanical systems.
• Willingness to travel to domestic and international ground station sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Own fleet uptime and performance.
• Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot a growing network of antennas distributed across the globe.
• Write analyses to dig into performance trends and uptime data.
• Operate and grow our Network Operations Center; monitor site health and telemetry, issue commands, and drive rapid detection.
• Build the systems that enable response at scale.
• Lead hardware deployment campaigns at remote sites worldwide.
• Act as on-site conductor and POC for deployments and site checkouts.
