Job summary

Northwood Space in Los Angeles is seeking a Sr. Operations Engineer to lead the global ground-station network deployment. You’ll be hands-on, solve complex problems, and drive hardware and operations development across fast timelines, traveling to sites as needed.

You’ll collaborate with internal and external teams to identify sites, design architectures, and ensure reliable, scalable operations, with frequent travel to domestic and international locations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil, electrical, or related engineering discipline.
• Willingness to travel to domestic and international ground station sites.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy network hardware at Northwood sites worldwide.
• Identify and secure ground station locations balancing performance, speed and cost.
• Design site architectures, hardware, and deployment processes.
• Oversee live operations, monitor performance, and troubleshoot to keep stations running.
• Collaborate with partners, contractors, logistics, and providers to coordinate deployments.
