Job summary

Northwood Space in Los Angeles seeks a Fleet Operations & Reliability Engineer to own uptime and performance of a growing global ground-station network. You will deploy, diagnose, and upgrade hardware at remote sites, interpret telemetry, and drive incident response.

The role spans RF, power, networking, and mechanical systems, with responsibilities to scale contractor networks, run field campaigns, and collaborate with product and manufacturing to improve reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related engineering field.
• Experience building, testing, operating, or diagnosing complex electromechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Own fleet uptime and performance for a global ground station network.
• Operate and grow the Network Operations Center and drive rapid site response.
• Lead hardware deployment campaigns at remote sites worldwide.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement fixes to reduce recurrence.
• Scale contractor networks and define maintenance strategies.
