Job summary

Northwood Space is seeking a Fleet Operations & Reliability Engineer to own uptime and performance for a global ground-station network. You will interpret live telemetry, drive incident response, and lead field campaigns to deploy and upgrade hardware at remote sites.

You will also develop scalable monitoring and response systems, work across RF, power, networking, or mechanical subsystems, and collaborate with product, manufacturing, and test teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related engineering.
• Experience building, testing, operating, or diagnosing complex electrical or mechanical systems.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own fleet uptime and performance; deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot antennas globally.
• Operate and grow the Network Operations Center; monitor site health and telemetry; drive rapid detection and response.
• Lead hardware deployment campaigns at remote sites; act as on-site conductor for deployments and site checkouts.
• Conduct root cause analysis on failures; develop fixes; gain deep subsystem expertise (RF, power, networking, or mechanical).
• Scale contractor ecosystem; source, contract, and onboard regional partners; define maintenance strategies.
• Collaborate with product, manufacturing, and test teams to improve design for reliability and lifecycle performance.
