Job summary

Planet is hiring a Customer Success Manager to join the Global Tech Touch team. You will manage global small-customer relationships in the EMEA and AMER regions, focusing on retention and expansion through a low-touch model.

The role requires strong communication, a practical understanding of geospatial products, and the ability to work from either our San Francisco or Arlington, VA office three days a week. This hybrid position supports our mission to help customers maximize value.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field.
• Geospatial technologies, GIS or Remote Sensing knowledge incl. manipulating geometries and file types.
• Experience with GIS applications (QGIS, ESRI, GEE).
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Able to communicate with international customers & sales teams.
• Creative problem solving and proactive work style.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customers adopt and see value of products.
• Provide a low-touch onboarding and training experience.
• Deliver necessary support to ensure successful delivery of services and timely solutions.
• Communicate with clients throughout the contract life-cycle; escalate issues as needed.
• Work closely with Finance, Product, Sales and other teams across the company.
• Set the right expectations for clients and redirect them to resources.
• Initiate negotiations and execute timely contract renewals and expansions.
• Identify opportunities for upselling or expanding the use of the product or services.
